How the level was stated. Peak level at 1 m, half-space, pink noise, crest factor 4, SB15_100 preset with LA2Xi (bridge), LA4X, LA8 or LA12X; page gives 131 dB with LA2Xi alone.
Notes. Page lists standard or cardioid configurations without separate SPL figures, so one entry; standard recorded as omni, cardioid option exists. Cardioid needs multiple units. Dimensions printed without axis labels (580/429/520 mm), not recorded. No power rating printed.
What the figures mean at distance
Taking 137 dB at 1 m on axis and the free-field rule of 6 dB lost per doubling of distance, this is the most the speaker can reach at each distance. A real room adds reflections, and a speaker is not normally run at its maximum.
| Distance | Level on axis |
|---|---|
| 2 m | 131.0 dB |
| 5 m | 123.0 dB |
| 10 m | 117.0 dB |
| 15 m | 113.5 dB |
| 20 m | 111.0 dB |
See level and distance and coverage angles for how these are worked out.
Planning estimate only. The calculation ignores reverberation, reflections and room modes. See terms and disclaimer.
